The text we’re studying this evening makes surprising reading - selfish, immature, proud 'believers' slandering each other - 'Grace proof' Christians who have become enemies of God and need to return to him. We read of Christians who are living as 'practical atheists'. This is challenging stuff. The solution James gives us is to humble ourselves and receive his grace and power. This is a timely warning for the church.
