About Us

At Bethel Church, we believe that God's heart for us all is wellness and wholeness in mind, body and spirit and this informs and directs our approach. 

Jesus ministered wholeness; he healed people in terms of their physical bodies and he also  healed people spiritually and emotionally.

Bible foundations

In 1 Thessalonians 5:23-34 (The Message) the closing prayer says:

"May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together- spirit, soul and body – and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!”

This is very much our prayer and underpins our approach to pastoral ministry; wellness and wholeness involve all aspects of ourselves and the lives we lead.

REACHING OUT

Our Wellness Team, which any member of our church can be part of, offers, in different shapes and forms, practical help and support, friendship, various courses and prayer.

Where this is sought and needed, we can offer access to qualified counsellors, who will arrange weekly sessions. Bethel is guided by the Association of Christian Counsellors Ethics and Practice and by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy’s Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions guidelines.

Prayer at Bethel Church Northwich

As we engage with God in prayer for ourselves and others, we believe He is faithful to hear us and answer our prayers, even when His answers may be different to our expectations.

We trust that He "is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us". (Ephesians 3:20)

Wholeness  Nights

We believe that Jesus wants us to be whole in heart, mind, soul and body. He wants to heal all of our sickness and infirmity. And the bible encourages us to pray for God's healing to come to each other. 

The Wholeness Nights are an opportunity to do this. We have a time to focus on the issue of healing and wholeness and what the bible says. Then there is a space where we can allow the Holy Spirit of God to come as we pray for healing, for any who would like that. 

 

Join us on Sunday evenings on 30th April, 28th May, 25th June @ 7pm in person at Bethel Church.
